After several years of taking every class that TDI offered, some multiple times, Dick Wheeler started Instructing at TDI in 2004.  Dick has been instructing at some level or another, someplace or another for close to 30-years. Dick is an NRA Certified Training Councilor and Chief Range Safety Officer, with Instructor Certification in Pistol, Rifle Shotgun, Personal Protection In the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home.  Dick is also certified by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission as a Unit Firearms Instructor (Revolver, Semi-Auto Pistol and Shotgun). Dick was a Law Enforcement Officer for ten-years, many years ago, in Central Ohio, and is an active member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, The International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association and a Life Member of the National Rifle Association. For a hobby Dick is a member of The Single Action Shooting Society and is an active Cowboy Action Shooter.  Dick recently retired from a full-time position as the Manager of Training, and Lead Instructor at Vance Outdoors Shooting Range and Training Center in Obetz, Ohio (South Columbus).
