Practical Precision Rifle
$500.00
The course is designed to enhance the shooting ability of the student through a skills-based approach with a continued focus on precision fundamentals. These skills can translate over to being a better hunter, competition shooter, or prepared citizen for self-defense. Practical Precision Rifle is designed for the shooter who has, at minimum, a basic grasp of core concepts of precision shooting, their rifle, optic, and accompanying equipment and wants to improve their skill set at intermediate ranges while increasing their own speed and accuracy from varying positions and ranges.
(Potential students who do not have the fundamental language, concepts or basic skill set mentioned above are encouraged to take our Introduction to Precision Rifle class offered the day prior as to be up to speed, or a similar class from a reputable trainer.)
The course includes a brief classroom portion and then right into zero confirmation, skills drills, and instructional blocks on positional shooting. The course continues to build including a series of mini stages and culminating in a timed event.
The overall course will be shooting and positional heavy, with emphasis on moving and shooting between selected or field positions using gear like bags, tripods, sticks and improvised devices on practical targets.
Accuracy and time will be the standards students strive for, with these being measured throughout the class at mock stages, tests or drills. Students will engage practical targets out to 400 yards from varying positions in the field or from a stage.
