This class is designed for the shooter who is brand new to precision rifle and it’s fundamental skills and concepts. Did you just buy or build your scoped rifle setup? No idea what the difference is between MIL and MOA? Never zeroed your new rifle? If you fall into any of those categories, this class is for you. While not a prerequisite to Precision Rifle, if you are brand new to this discipline you’d be well served to attend this class.
The purpose of this course is a fundamental education and skills based approach to precision fundamentals. This course is designed for the shooter who has no concepts or base set of skills for their Precision Rifle. These skills are a great start for the prepared citizen, hunter or as an entry into the competition world.
The course will begin with several hours of classroom instruction going over fundamental terminology, concepts and an overview of technical aspects of precision shooting.
These include but are not limited to, types of precision rifles, optics, reticles, ammunition, ballistics, wind correction, MPBR, natural point of aim, DOPE, electronic aids, MOA/MIL, spotting, distance judgment/calculation and more.
Once the classroom and safety brief is completed, students will begin at the 100 yard line for their first zero and groups and continue to gather additional data from there.
