An intensive, practical approach to fundamental concepts conducted within the framework of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) and reinforced with hands-on exercises geared toward basic airway maintenance, hemorrhage and pain control, splinting, suturing, positioning, immobilization, and transport. Emphasis will be placed on recognition and management of immediate life threats. The student will be exposed to a variety of scenarios, techniques, equipment and supplies, and begin to develop a medical kit, tailored to their own situation.
